Residents of Guryong Village, the largest shantytown in southern Seoul, face off with bailiffs tasked with tearing down the village’s community center on Friday. After two hours, officials halted demolition work when the Seoul Administrative Court issued an injunction to suspend it until Feb. 13, accepting landowners’ pleas to prevent possible property damage.
