KT&G offers free movies in Chuncheon SangsangmadangKT&G said said it will offer free movies every Wednesday at its Sangsangmadang building in Chuncheon, Gangwon, starting March 4, as part of its culture program.
The company said the free movie program will provide an opportunity for Chuncheon residents to enjoy culture and arts. To encourage people with hearing difficulties to attend, Korean subtitles and sign language will also appear on the screen.
As a test run of the program, the first movie the company plans to show is “My Love, Don’t Cross that River.” It will be shown on Wednesday. Details about the movie will provided at the website chuncheon.sangsangmadang.com.
“Through the free movie program we plan to show a wide range of movies of different genres including independent films, art films and musicals,” said a KT&G official.
Other than the Chuncheon’s Sangsangmadang, KT&G runs two more in Hongdae, Seoul, and Nonsan, South Chungcheong. Sangsangmadang provides support to non-mainstream artists, including photographers, painters and musicians.
