Lotte Department Store, one of the leading retailers in Korea, is hosting a wedding fair to attract young couples preparing for their ceremony and new home. From tomorrow to March 8, all of the branches of the department store will offer discounts and prizes for 150 brands, ranging from home appliances to jewelry.

Lotte offers up to a 50 percent discount on necessities for home furnishing, such as beds, sofas, dining tables, cupboards and electronic appliances such as TVs, refrigerators and washing machines. Simmons, one of the brands participating in the fair, offers a room set that includes a queen-sized bed, bedside cabinet, dresser and stool at 2,598,000 won (about $2,300). Bonton’s marble dining table for four is priced at 499,000 won. Zwilling JA Henckel’s premium wedding set, comprised of six pieces of cutlery and seven pieces of cookware, is 699,000 won.

Some of the products at the fair are exclusively sold in Lotte’s department stores. These 20 products are up to 75 percent cheaper than their original prices. Silit’s Primo stainless cookware five-piece set will go for 249,000 won and Fissler’s Prestige mini cookware two-piece set is 190,000 won. Allerman’s bedding set is 248,000 won and Ace’s queen bed is 2,879,000 won.

Customers buying wedding jewelry can benefit from the free gifts and prizes the brands such as De Beers, Piaget, Boucheron, Chopard and Chaumet offer. At Lotte Department Store’s Jamsil branch, Tiffany holds the 2015 Tiffany Bridal Fair to present its popular products and provide consultation for couples. Cartier will also offer individual consulting for customers who make reservation in advance at the department store’s Avenuel World Tower branch. Couples can also win a gold bar, weighing 3.75 grams (0.13 ounce), if they purchase more than 3,500,000 won in jewelry from seven brands, including Mollis and Luce’n Lee.

Customers can also buy clothes, lingerie and cosmetic products at cheaper prices. Women’s fashion brands such as Mine and Lanvin Collection and lingerie brands like Vivien and Triumph will cut down prices for customers who present their wedding invitation at the site. Fashion brands such as Galaxy, Cambridge and Elle will offer up to a 30 percent discount for consumers with special coupons. The bride-to-be customers can get bigger editions of their favorite products from cosmetics brands such as Estee Lauder and Biotherm.

Lotte Department Store members can receive vouchers amounting to 5 percent or more of their total purchase from the brands participating the wedding fair. Moreover, the department store will open a raffle with prizes such as celebrities attending customers’ weddings as guests, vouchers for moving companies and homecare services. Every customer who buys at the fair can apply for the raffle. The winner will be announced on March 20.

The department store is dedicated to attracting of newlyweds because the statistics show that they will remain loyal consumers. “The biggest wedding fair in the nation is only the beginning of what we offer our customers,” said a Lotte Department Store official.
