Actor’s ex denies plans for marriage
Kim’s ex, surnamed Choi, made the statement Thursday morning through her lawyer. “I have no plans to marry Kim, but I will give birth to this child and raise the baby. I will discuss [child-rearing] with him later”
On Sunday, a local monthly magazine reported that Kim had reunited with his former girlfriend, who is reportedly about 10 weeks pregnant, and that the two would soon tie the knot.
However, Kim and his agency Keyeast Entertainment denied the reports the following day, saying in a press release, “Choi contacted Kim in January and notified him of her pregnancy but she’s been refusing to visit a doctor’s office to confirm it.”
“We’ve been asking Choi to give us [information to verify], but we haven’t heard from her yet.”
The agency added that if Choi was pregnant, Kim would take responsibility.
On Wednesday, Choi did an exclusive interview with a local Internet news agency, during which she shared text messages she had exchanged with the singer. According to those texts, Kim was already aware of the pregnancy.
This is not the first time Kim has found himself in trouble concerning his relationship with Choi. In August, she filed a lawsuit against him for assault. Kim was summarily indicted and ordered to pay a 5 million won ($4,500) fine.
