Future of Toyota

Yoshida Akihisa, president & CEO of Toyota Korea, introduces the Lexus NX200t AWD SUV on Thursday in Jamsil, southeastern Seoul. The vehicle has a 2.0-liter turbo gasoline engine with 238 horse power.

The company will start selling the SUV from March 3 with a starting price of 54.8 million won ($50,048) for the basic trim Supreme. In a press briefing, Akihisa presented the company’s Vision 2020, saying it aims to be one of the most respected companies in Korea. He said that the company will strengthen its hybrid car lineup over the next six years to secure its status as the No. 1 hybrid car maker in the world.

It will also try to improve its customer services. In January, the company said it will offer a 10-year or 200,000-kilometer (124,300-mile) warranty on the main battery of every Toyota and Lexus hybrid car.
