Woman accuses Zest member of rape

테스트

A woman has accused a member of new K-pop boy group Zest of rape, according to news reports that surfaced Thursday.

The Gangnam Police Precinct said that the woman, who is in her 20s filed a report against the singer last month.

She told police that the boy group member raped her in November after they met through mutual friends. She added that the singer visited her at home a few days after the attack and attempted to rape her once again.

The police station said it has finished interviewing the woman and will soon summon the singer for investigation.

Zenith Media Contents, the five-member boy group’s agency, denied the allegations on behalf of their client in a press release.

“All the reported news about the rape is groundless,” the statement said.

According to the agency, the woman in question began blackmailing the singer months ago.

“As far as we know, none of the group members raped a woman,” said Zenith in the release.

Zest debuted last November with the release of the digital single “My All,” but the boy group failed to gain much publicity.
