Nonghyup Financial appoints Kim Yong-hwan as chairman

Nonghyup Financial Group’s chairman recommendation committee announced on Monday it has recommended Kim Yong-hwan, former president of the Export-Import Bank of Korea, to be the next chairman of the group.

“Kim, who served at the Finance Ministry and Financial Supervisory Service, has a high level of understanding of the financial industry,” the committee said.

He will be inaugurated as the chairman of Nonghyup if he is approved by shareholders and by a government ethics committee.
