Jeong Han-ju, an employee of Korea Electric Power Corp.’s Gwangju office, left, and Ju Yong-jin, a senior researcher at Kepco Research Institute, are honored by the Association of Polish Inventors and Rationalizers for energy-related inventions at the 43rd International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva on Sunday. According to Kepco on Monday, Ju received a gold medal and special award for inventing “gas turbine combustion diagnostic auto-tuning technology using an optical measurement sensor.” Jeong, from the Gwangju office, received a gold medal for a “connector for the measurement of cable deterioration,” which reduces the time it takes to inspect cables.
