Asiana Airlines launches web, mobile boarding passes

Asiana Airlines has launched an Internet and mobile boarding pass system for international flights from Incheon and Gimpo airports. The service started Friday. Passengers using the system can reduce boarding time.

Passengers can use the system up to 48 hours prior to departure. Passengers who want to use the service can check in via Asiana’s web page, flyasiana.com, or smartphone application.

Passengers can check luggage at Asiana’s Internet and mobile baggage office located at K24-K25 at Incheon airport and C3-C4 at Gimpo airport.

The service also can be used by passengers on carriers departing at 12 foreign airports, including Tokyo (Narita and Haneda), Osaka, Fukuoka, Okinawa, London, Frankfurt, Paris, Istanbul, San Francisco, Hong Kong and Taipei.

“The best airline service you can offer is to reduce the waiting time for passengers,” said the company. “Successfully launching the service, we expect to reduce the ticketing time by about 30 minutes.” From May 7 to 31, the company will give away round-trip tickets for international and domestic flights for passengers using the system.
