Lee to star in U.S. movie

Korean actor Lee Byung-hun will appear in the Hollywood movie “The Magnificent Seven.”

The upcoming movie, which was originally released in 1960, is a remake directed by director Antoine Fuqua. The story develops in a Mexican village that is often raided by bandits for food and supplies.

Lee will appear in the movie as Billy Rocks along with various Hollywood stars, including Denzel Washington, Ethan Hawke and Chris Pratt.

The 44-year-old also recently shot another Hollywood film, “Terminator Genisys,” which will be released in July.

Lee debuted in 1991 with the drama series “Asphalt My Hometown.” Since then he has acted in a string of TV series in addition to movies. He gained huge popularity after starring in Park Chan-wook’s film “Joint Security Area” in 2000. His acting has also been recognized not only within Korea but also in Hollywood, where he took roles in various films, including “G.I Joe: Retaliation” (2013) and “Red 2” (2013).

He is married to Korean actress Lee Min-jung, who gave birth to a baby boy in March.
