Shin Sun-woo named WKBL commissioner
Women’s Korean Basketball League (WKBL) on Thursday said that its interim-commissioner Shin Sun-woo will be officially appointed as its new commissioner starting July 1.The owners from six WKBL clubs decided after a general meeting on Thursday to let the 59-year-old manage the league. Shin, who will be the seventh commissioner for the WKBL, will given a three-year term starting from July 1.
Shin has been the interim-commissioner since June 2014 after former commissioner Choi Kyung-hwan was appointed as deputy prime minister and minister of strategy and finance.
