Minhwa as a muse
Published: 31 May. 2015, 17:50
Minhwa, or folk painting, was created by laymen during the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), differing from the art of the royal court or the aristocrats. The Goyang Aram Nuri Aram Art Museum is holding the exhibition “The Beauty of Korean Culture and Minhwa,” which sheds light on how the contemporary Korean artists have taken the motif to inspire creations of their own. The exhibition runs until Sept. 20. Provided by the organizer
