Nongshim’s new Jjawang noodles selling like hotcakes

Nongshim said Wednesday that sales of Jjawang, the company’s premium jjajangmyeon (noodles with black bean sauce), exceeded 10 billion won ($9 million) in May, becoming the second-best selling instant noodle product after Shinramyeon, a spicy flavored noodle brand, which marked 25.5 billion won. The company introduced the product on April 20 with a sales goal of 100 billion won per year.
