The Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) and Korea Electric Power Corporation (Kepco) each signed a memorandum of understanding Thursday with their Chinese counterparts.Seeking ways to export robots to China, KIST plans to cooperate with Shanghai Industrial Technology Institute and Shanghai Institute of Science and Technology to commercialize KIST’s original intelligence humanoid and bio-robot technologies, which are designed to perceive nerve signals from human bodies, for the Chinese market. KIST’s robots so far have been exported to some European countries like Denmark. Kepco and China Huaneng Group also will launch a program to exchange technologies in thermal and renewable power.
