Daum Kakao’s investment arm purchases Tangram Design Lab
K Venture Group, the investment arm of the nation’s largest mobile messenger company Daum Kakao, bought Tangram Design Lab, an IT company specializing in designs.According to Daum Kakao on Monday, the investment company purchased 51 percent of its shares.
Tangram was established in 2008 and has specialized in software and product design. It has won Germany’s IF Design Awards, which are considered one of the world’s top three design accolades, for seven consecutive years since 2008. It recently became the center of attention when it developed Smart Rope, which tracks the number of jumps a person makes and displays them on the rope using 23 LED lights.
