LG Electronics and Google join forces to push OLED TVs

LG Electronics signed a partnership with Google Korea to cooperate on marketing OLED televisions.

The two companies held a ceremony on Monday to celebrate the signing of the agreement at the Financial Center in Gangnam, southeastern Seoul.

Kim Ki-wan, LG Electronics executive vice president of overseas sales and marketing, and Google Korea CEO John Lee attended the ceremony.

LG Electronics plans to broaden the sales of OLED televisions around the world and strategically develop the OLED brand.

Google’s diverse digital platforms, such as YouTube, are to be used for OLED television marketing.

“Google is helping marketers communicate with customers online via diverse marketing solutions and advertisements,” said Google Korea CEO John Lee. “We will expand our efforts to help global businesses like LG Electronics to broaden the value of their products to global customers.”
