Jung to be new face of Skin79 abroad
Singer-actor Jung Yong-hwa has been selected as the model for cosmetic company Skin79 that specializes in BB cream, according to his talent agency, FNC Entertainment, on Monday.The singer song-writer, who has an extensive fan base across Asia, will become the new face for both Korea and China for the cosmetic brand.
The 26-year-old’s popularity in China has been proven once again through this new role since it is highly rare for a male celebrity to model for a cosmetic brand in multiple countries.
“Jung has a nice look that makes people trust him,” said a person affiliated with Skin79.
“The celebrity is modest and he also has been consistently interacting with his Korean and foreign fans,” the person continued. “As a result, he has become a K-pop icon who is enjoying international popularity and we chose him because that [global recognition] is the goal that our company pursues.”
Thanks to the positive image Jung possesses, he has been modeling for various companies such as the fashion brand The Class and BC UnionPay Card.
