2015 ANSAN M VALLEY ROCK FESTIVAL

Daebu Sea Breeze Theme Park

July 24 to 26: Started in 2009 as “Jisan Valley Rock Festival,” the “Ansan M Valley Rock Festival” is now one of the biggest events of its kind in Asia.

The three-day festival is hosted by CJ E&M, a leading entertainment company in Korea. This year’s lineup includes Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Foo Fighters, Galaxy Express and Sultan of the Disco.

The performance starts at 11 a.m.

One-day entry costs 112,500 won, two-day entry costs 165,000 won and three-day entry costs 208,000 won.

Camping is available beginning the night of July 23.

July 4: Five genres of electronic dance music - disco, progressive house, electro house, drum and bass and trap - will be performed on each corner of this pentagonal stage with artists such as Mark Knights, Seven Lions and Alvaro heating up the arena.

Under the theme “Space Circus,” the musical extravaganza will feature lighting installations, flying acrobats, an LED light show and fireworks.

The concert starts at 3 p.m.

Entrance tickets are 77,000 won.

2015 INCHEON PENTAPORT ROCK FESTIVAL

Incheon Penta Park

Aug. 7 to 9: Celebrating its 10th anniversary, one of the biggest summer rock festivals returns for a three-day engagement.

Mainly focused on rock and electric music, the Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival features local and overseas bands; this year’s group includes Scorpions, Seo Tae-ji, The Prodigy, The Used and The Kooks.

Performance times will be posted on the festival’s website (pentaportrock.com).

Tickets cost from 117,000 won to 198,000 won.
