Asiana Airlines launched a new route Tuesday that connects Incheon and Rome three times a week.
The service, following Asiana’s start of service to Paris in 2008 and Istanbul in 2011, is their latest route to Europe.
The Incheon-Rome route was only available by Korean Airlines until last year, but now Alitalia Airlines and Asiana Airlines also offer the service.
The average load factor on the Incheon-Rome route increased by 6 percent, from 77.7 to 83.7 percent over the past three years.
