Koh snags gold, silver in ISSF Junior Cup eventsKoh Eun won the gold medal in the women’s 25-meter pistol at the 2015 ISSF Junior Cup shooting competition in Suhl, Germany, on Wednesday (Korean time), beating Russia’s Vitalina Batsarashikina 7-1.
Koh, 20, also took silver in the women’s team event along with Jung Hee-ji and Kim Jung-ah. In the final, Korea and Russia both finished with 1,726 points, but since Russia had 52 inner tens, while Korea had only 41, the gold medal went to the team comprising Batsarashkina, Margarita Lomova and Natalia Ordina.
Earlier this week on Monday, Kwon Il-gu won the bronze medal in the men’s 10-meter air rifle, while the women’s team of Lee Seung-yeon, Joo Hyun-ji and Kim Da-bin also took bronze in the 10-meter air rifle with 1237.5 points.
Korea sent 16 shooters to the ISSF Junior Cup, in which shooters born in January 1995 or later can participate.
