Samsung helps beat the heat
Samsung Electronics said Sunday it would discount its popular air conditioning models until Aug. 15. The Smart Air Conditioner Q9000, the company said, will be discounted by 600,000 won ($530) if customers trade in their old units. Its Kim Yu-na Special air conditioner, offered in two models, can be had with a 24-month, interest-free payment plan. Models with inverter compressors, an energy saving system, will carry a 10-year warranty. “It is a chance for consumers to replace their old Samsung devices with new ones at reasonable prices and with some money-saving options,” a spokesman at the company said.
