Tiger JK and others to perform at festMusician Seo Tae-ji and rapper Tiger JK, along with female rapper Yoon Mi-rae, will stage a collective performance at the Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival scheduled to take place from Aug. 7 to Aug. 9, according to the festival organizer, Yescom Entertainment, on Wednesday.
The trio will perform on the second day of the festival, which is the date reserved for top musicians.
The three musicians’ collaboration has attracted the interest of many music fans because Seo is often called the “President of Culture” for his various experimental songs. In addition, Tiger JK is often referred to as the “Father of Korean Hip-Hop” and Yoon, who is married to Tiger JK, is regarded as the top Korean female rapper that many people look up to.
The organizer explained that the performance was scheduled because the two rappers respect Seo as a musician and also because Seo has great interest in the rappers’ music.
Although the song they will perform has not been disclosed, Seo is reported to have started rehearsing for the show.
The rock festival is marking its 10th year and will be held at Penta Park in Songdo International City in Incheon. An estimated 80 acts are expected to perform at the concert.
