GS Chairman encourages his executives to think long term
He quoted a traditional idiom used by An Jung-geun, an independence activist, that says one needs to have a long-term point of view to be truly successful.
“A long-term focus is required,” the chairman said, “One should capture a strategic point that matters in the long run.”
In line with that, Huh went on to call for the need to streamline businesses.
“We need to thoroughly analyze businesses and a variety of sectors we need to focus on.”
Huh suggested that employees spend their summer vacations in Korea to help the local economy following the outbreak of Middle East respiratory syndrome.
