Samsung gives its suppliers a $12 million ‘thank you’

Samsung Electronics said Wednesday that it will make incentive payments totaling 14.2 billion won ($12.3 million) to its contractors for their performance in the first half. The checks going out Friday are the biggest such payments Samsung has ever made.

As part of a “joint growth agenda,” Samsung Electronics gives incentives to its business partners in computer chip manufacturing, construction and environmental safety.
