Kang departs from tvN show
“The episode that was scheduled to air on Wednesday will not be disclosed.”
The 45-year-old has become a widely talked-about figure after being engulfed in an adultery scandal with a renowned blogger in her 30s, a case Kang is fighting in court. The issue has created huge waves on the Internet since the blogger’s husband filed a lawsuit against Kang in January, demanding 100 million won ($85,000) in damages.
The husband filed a petition for an injunction in the Seoul Western District Court, saying, “Please prevent Kang, who is involved in adultery with my wife, from appearing in ‘War of Words,’” JTBC’s reality program that covers political and social issues. The hearing is scheduled for Aug. 25.
Meanwhile, even though photos that imply Kang and his lover were together in a Hong Kong hotel, and several text messages in which Kang asks her out for a meal, have been disclosed, Kang is denying the charges.
