Kim Ye-won to act in hockey movie
Actress Kim Ye-won has been cast in the film “Take Off 2,” according to the 27-year-old’s talent agency, JYP Entertainment, on Thursday.
The movie, in which actress Soo Ae stars as the main character, centers on the story of the first and only female ice hockey team in Korea.
Kim will be playing one of the national team players named Ga-yeon, who is unintentionally portrayed as a comical figure for her insensitiveness. The character, who was formerly a figure skater, is often blamed for being more interested in her looks than ice hockey.
However, Kim is expected to win the hearts of many viewers, as her character grows to become more passionate about ice hockey.
The upcoming movie, which is scheduled to be released in October, has completed casting and has already started ice hockey training for actors taking part in the film.
Actor Oh Dal-su is generating anticipation due to his distinctly well-known comical acting. He will take on the role of a coach for the Korean female national hockey team.
