‘Producers’ cast visits China
Actors Kim Soo-hyun, Gong Hyo-jin and IU attended a promotional event in China for their latest drama series “The Producers” (2015), along with directors Pyo Min-su and Seo Soo-min and screenwriter Park Ji-eun.Thousands of people gathered in Shanghai on Saturday to catch a glimpse of the stars.
The celebrities also donned complementary outfits for the event. Gong wore a chic high-waisted skirt while Kim showed up in neat suit and tie. IU stood out, donning a red dress as well as mini skirt in the same color at a separate appearance.
“The Producers” unfolds inside a drama department and centers on the themes of work and love.
The rights to the series were sold to a Chinese online platform in early May, even before the drama aired in Korea.
Kim is one of the most renowned Korean stars in China, thanks to his turn in the immensely popular “My Love from the Star” (2013-14), which has ultimately contributed to the wide acclaim “The Producers” has received.
