FT Island singer falls during concert
Singer Lee Hong-ki from the boy group FT Island injured his ankle during a performance in Thailand.`e last performance of their Asia tour, “We Will,” on Saturday. The accident happened while the group was performing at the Thunder Dome in Bangkok.
The concert was temporarily halted when Lee fell and sprained his ankle while singing “Falling Star.” The main vocalist was helped back up by his team members.
Lee wrapped a bandage around his ankle and completed his performance. Despite his injury, the singer was so dedicated to the performance that he even jumped across the stage using his uninjured leg.
Later, he said, “It’s okay. It is the first time I have ever gotten hurt while performing. This will become an unforgettable concert.”
FT Island has been on an Asian tour since May. They started off in Taiwan and moved on to six countries, including China, Hong Kong and Thailand.
The band will unveil a new single, “Puppy,” in Japan on Wednesday. They will continue to perform actively based on the album.
