Korean pizza chain Mr. Pizza plans to open another restaurant in the United States, MPK Group, the owner of the franchise, announced on Monday. MPK Group directly operates three other Mr. Pizza outlets in Los Angeles, but the latest outlet, in Buena Park in California, will open in partnership with a local operator. Measuring 430 square meters (4,628 square foot), the pizza restaurant will have 160 seats.
The opening is part of the group’s overseas expansion plans. The pizza franchise signed an agreement with Malaysia’s Yechiu to establish a joint venture to operate stores in Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore last year.
