Jin Air adds brand-new plane with electrical outlets to fleet

Jin Air, the budget airline of the country’s No. 1 air carrier Korean Air, said it will be bringing in a brand-new B737-800, increasing the airline’s total number of planes to 16. In total, it has 14 B737-800s and two large-sized B777-200ERs.

The latest addition to the budget airliner’s roster is a completely new plane that hadn’t flown as of its purchasing.

Jin Air said via a statement that it will continue to purchase planes off the production lines to make passengers’ flights as convenient as possible.

It said the interior of the new plane is sophisticated and spacious, and less noisy than other options.

The biggest feature of the new plane are the electrical outlets at every seat, which allow passengers to charge digital devices like laptops or smartphones in-flight.

The newest addition with 189 seats will be making its first flight today, traveling from Gimpo International Airport to Jeju Island.
