LG U+ passes interoperability test for IoT system in Paris

Telecommunications provider LG U+ said on Thursday that the company passed the interoperability test at the oneM2M Interoperability Event, held in Paris from Sept. 14 to 16.

The test checks the compatibility of LG U+ technology and different IoT platforms.

Over 20 tech companies including Qualcomm, Huawei and Korea Electronics Technology Institute participated in the event hosted by ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute) and TTA (Telecommunications Technology Association).

oneM2M is a global organization working to create a compatibility standard for IoT and Machine to Machine (M2M) platforms.

LG Group is using its subsidiaries to develop a competitive IoT infrastructure.

LG Electronics is supporting the development and testing of devices, while LG CNS is contributing to the construction of an open IoT infrastructure and ecosystem.
