Top-ranked Korean duo takes Victor Korea Open

World No.1 badminton duo Lee Yong-dae and Yoo Yeun-sung won the men’s double at the Victor Korea Open Super Series by beating Kim Gi-jung and Kim Sa-rang by 2-0 (21-16, 21-12) at the SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium in southern Seoul on Sunday.

In the women’s single final, world No. 8 Sung Ji-hyun, who is the 2013 champion, defeated defending champion and world No. 7 Wang Yihan of China 2-1 (21-14, 17-21, 21-18). In the women’s double final, Chang Ye-na and Lee So-hee lost to Indonesia’s Nitya Krishinda Maheswari and Greysia Polii 2-0 (21-15, 21-18).

Park gets 2nd KLPGA Tour win in Chuncheon event

Park Sung-hyun got her second win of the season in the KLPGA Tour after winning the KDB Daewoo Securities Classic on Sunday.

At the Elysian Gangchon Country Club in Chuncheon, Gangwon, Park finished the event at 13-under 203, beating three second-place golfers by two strokes. Park won the season’s first major Korea Women’s Open in June.
