IU planning to release a new album

Soloist IU is planning a comeback this fall.

The 22-year-old is currently working on a new album, according to various media outlets on Monday.

Even though the specific date of the record’s release has not yet been determined, she is said to be working on the last song and rearranging her schedule.

IU’s new album will be her first since her last special remake album, “Flower Bookmark,” released last May. Since the singer is releasing a new album after such a long time, her comeback is highly anticipated by her fans.

The celebrity participated in writing, composing and producing the songs for her new album. Even though she has previously included self-written songs on past albums, it is unprecedented for her to take part in the entire process of making songs.

“All of the works on IU’s new album are under the control of the singer without any special producers, and therefore will clearly demonstrate the singer’s characteristics as a singer-songwriter,” a person close to the celebrity told Star News.

The singer, who debuted seven years ago, performed the song “Leon” along with entertainer Park Myung-soo on MBC’s flagship reality program, “Infinite Challenge,” last month. The song shot to the top of music charts.

IU’s other mega-hits include “Good Day,” “Heart” and “The Red Shoes.”
