G-Dragon named top fashion leader
Four Korean people have been included on the list, but the K-pop star is the only Korean celebrity out of the four. In addition, only four musicians - G-Dragon, Kanye West, Rihanna and Li Yuchun - have been honored with the status of global fashion leader.
This is not the first time the 27-year-old has been recognized for his fashion style both within and outside of Korea, as he has been a front-row favorite of various top brands like Lanvin and Saint Laurent for a few years.
Last year, the male musician created a buzz across the Internet after being selected as the only Asian star to be invited to attend Saint Laurent’s Spring/Summer 2015 menswear collection show in Paris.
In addition, he was chosen as one of the top 10 best dressers by men’s fashion magazine GQ in 2013. He was honored with seventh place along with various international stars, including Gabriel Mann, Harry Edward Styles and Gerard Butler.
The Business of Fashion selects 500 global fashion leaders every year among people from various fields, including business, investment and art.
