R&B group Solid back together on TV

Korean R&B group Solid has reunited after 18 years, according to local broadcaster MBC.

The trio made an appearance on a new TV show titled “Again Best Popular 50 Songs” scheduled to air Thursday night.

The trio dominated the music scene in the 1990s with their R&B music, which was a foreign genre to Korean fans back then, but the group suddenly decided to beak up in 1997, citing troubles with their agency.

Kim Jo-han, the lead vocalist, has been pursuing a solo career since the group disbanded, but the other two members have not been present in the entertainment scene.

Other big names from the era, including R.ef and DJ DOC, also appeared on the music show.

The TV show spotlights the music scene from the ’90s, which is said to have been the golden age for the music industry. If the TV show receives positive feedback, it is likely to become a regular program.
