Super Junior’s D&E to perform Sunday

테스트

Super Junior members Donghae, left, and Eunhyuk will give their last performances on Sunday before the two begin their mandatory military service. Eunhyuk will join the military on Oct. 13, and Donghae will join on Oct. 15.

According to Star News, an online entertainment news agency, Donghae and Eunhyuk will perform for the Gangnam K-pop Festival, an annual event organized by Gangnam District in southern Seoul.

After the worldwide popularity of “Gangnam Style” by Korean singer-rapper Psy, the posh district of Seoul launched the K-pop festival to promote tourism.

Singer-actor Rain also did his last performance at the same festival in 2011 before he began his military service.

Donghae and Eunhyuk, who recently launched a sub-unit group within Super Junior called D&E, will perform as a duo along with other singers from SM Entertainment, such as Henry, Exo and Red Velvet.

The K-pop Festival opens at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday near COEX in Samseong-dong, southern Seoul.

Super Junior debuted in the music scene in 2005 as a 13-member boy band. Back then, most of the members were in their early 20s, but as time has gone by, the members are joining the military one after another. Six of the members already finished their service or are currently serving.

Meanwhile, Super Junior released a special album, “Magic,” in September to mark the 10th anniversary of their debut and also held a concert.

Each member of the group pursues his own career when they are not performing as a group. Siwon, one of the members of the group, is appearing in the TV drama series “She was Pretty,” and Kyuhyun is hosting “Radio Star,” a prime-time, late-night talk show, with other TV show hosts.
