Nissan Korea unveils Maxima with award-winning engine
Nissan Korea has rolled out its Maxima sports sedan on Thursday. It is its eighth-generation model that is equipped with a VQ engine, which has been among the world’s top-10 engines for 14 consecutive years according to Wards Auto, an information center for the auto industry.The gasoline engine offers 303 horsepower and 9.8 kilometer per liter (23 miles per gallon) of fuel efficiency. It also has a series of safety options including predictive forward collision warning, forward emergency braking, around view monitor and blind spot warning systems.
Nissan Korea CEO Takehiko Kikuchi said the company expects from Maxima to expand its share in Korea. Maxima’s highest trim, the Platinum, is offered at 43.7 million won ($37,021).
