SNL to feature Wonder Girls
Girl group Wonder Girls will appear on the third episode of the latest season of Korea’s version of “Saturday Night Live.”
According to JYP Entertainment, an agency of the four-member girl group, Wonder Girls will play different roles to show their various sides in the sixth season of the live comedy show.
The episode featuring the girl group will air on Oct. 10 at 9:45 p.m.
Wonder Girls broke into the music scene in 2007 with five members and soared to stardom in 2008 with the hit song “Nobody,” which is based on the sound of 1960s Motown, but the heyday of the girl group did not last long.
Sunmi left the group in 2010, although she returned this year, and Sunye got married. After Sunye settled down in Canada with her missionary husband, she walked out of the group in July, and Sohee did not extend her contact, saying she would pursue an acting career.
After many ups and downs, however, Wonder Girls released a new album titled “Reboot” last month.
