Lotte calls new recruits for ‘audition’Lotte Group is again hiring new recruits without looking at their educational background, grades, language skills or other certificates.
According to the retail conglomerate, it will hire 120 new recruits via a so-called “spectacle audition.”
Under the spectacle audition applicants only need to provide basic information such as their names and contact number.
The hiring process includes a paper review, aptitude test and interview. Successful applicants will be notified in early December.
The latest recruits are in addition to the 100 the company hired under the same process in the first half of the year. The conglomerate said 15 affiliates including Lotte Department Store and Lotte Homeshopping will be participating in the hiring.
As the applicants will be judged only by their skills, the test problems will be difficult.
On the paper review, the applicants will be reviewed on the essay they have turned in. They will faced with tough questions comparable to those applying for the advertisement affiliate Daehong Communications.
For Lotte Liquor BG, applicants could be asked to come up with a plan that would help boost sales under the pretense that the writer is a sales employee. ?
“We have decided to increase the number of people hired under the spectacle audition in the second half as we have found many with professional skills that are equivalent to those who have been in the field for four to five years,” said a human resource official at Lotte Group.
