Eastar Jet adds three routes to Bangkok, Osaka and Jeju

Low budget carrier Eastar Jet has launched three additional routes from Busan, to Bangkok, Osaka and Jeju. The budget airline on Monday said it is offering flights to the three destinations every day on Boeing 737-800’s that have a capacity of 189 passengers. Eastar Jet, which made its maiden flight in January 2009, currently runs 16 international flights and four local flights.

The international flights include routes from Incheon to Tokyo, Osaka, Bangkok, Kota Kinabalu, Phuket and Jinan, China; Gimpo to Taipei, Cheongju and other Chinese cities including Hong Kong, Shenyang, Yanji, Harbin, Dalian and Shanghai; Busan to Bangkok, Osaka and Jeju to Bangkok.

The local flights are Gimpo, Cheongju, Gunsan and Busan headed to Jeju.

Eastar Jet plans to add four or five additional airplanes to expand its routes in China and other cities in South East Asia.
