Hankook named one of the best companies in DJ index

Hankook Tire, the nation’s biggest tire manufacturer, has been certified on the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) Asia/Pacific, at a ceremony held at the Grand Hyatt Seoul on Wednesday. It is the third consecutive year the company has achieved worldwide recognition for its sustainable management.

Being selected as one of the top companies in the auto components business, the company proved its sustainability in economic, environmental and social aspects.

The DJSI are a group of indices evaluating a company’s sustainability and fulfillment of social responsibility.

Its Asia/Pacific index, a family of the DJSI, captures the leading 20 percent of companies out of 600 in the developed Asia/Pacific markets in the Dow Jones Global Total Market Index. This year, 145 companies were selected out of total 608 companies.
