Hanwha joins campaign to help young get jobs
Hanwha Group Chairman Kim Seung-youn and his executives have decided to donate 4 billion won ($3.5 million) to the Youth Hope Fund, a public trust supporting job creation for young people, the group said on Sunday.Chairman Kim will donate 3 billion won while his executives will donate 1 billion won.
The group will also double the number of new hires in the second half compared to the first half.
Hanwha said in August that it will create 17,500 job opportunities through 2017.
“The chairman decided to join the trend of providing more jobs for youth since they are the generation to lead the country in the future,” said a spokesman of Hanwha in a statement.
