Solo album on the way from Leessang’s Gil
Gil, a member of the hip-hop duo Leessang, will release a solo album on Nov. 25.
Leessang Company uploaded the singer’s album cover onto its Twitter account on Thursday, signaling the hip-hop musician’s comeback.
Gil usually raps as part of the hip-hop duo, but the company said his solo album will show more sides of him as a singer-songwriter.
It is the first time for Gil, who has a deep and husky voice, to release a solo album since his debut in 1999.
Although Gil will release an album, it is reported that he won’t appear on TV shows to promote his songs.
The singer has been keeping a low profile since he was caught driving under the influence of alcohol last April.
Because of the incident, the singer withdrew from all shows he was appearing on, including the popular reality TV show “Infinite Challenge.”
