Hanjin Group chairman donates 3 billion won to create jobs

Hanjin Group Chairman Cho Yang-ho and his executives have donated 3 billion won ($2.59 million) to the Youth Hope Fund, a public trust supporting job creation for young people.
Hanjin, which runs the nation’s no.1 airline Korean Air, said Thursday that its chairman had donated 2.2 billion won of his personal assets, while the group’s executives donating 800 million won to help the nation resolving unemployment among young people. Hanjin said it has hired 1,000 new employees this year and will continue to provide more job opportunities next year, as it did when it participated in a job creation fair in October.
