Lee Min-ho to hold ‘talk concert’

Actor Lee Min-ho will hold a concert for local fans in January.

Starhaus Entertainment, which represents the 28-year-old Korean Wave actor, said on Thursday, “This is a talk concert held in Korea for the first time in two years. He will look back on this year and share some of his upcoming plans for the next year.”

In the local showbiz industry, a talk concert is the term for a paid appearance by a celebrity who doesn’t usually sing. But the agency added that the actor will sing for his fans.

The concert, called “Minoz Mansion,” is scheduled for Jan. 18 at the Grand Peace Hall of Kyung Hee University in Hoegi-dong, Dongdaemun District, central Seoul.

Lee’s official fan club members can purchase tickets starting on Monday, and other fans can buy tickets starting on Thursday.

Lee is currently shooting the film “Bounty Hunters,” a joint project between Korean and Chinese production companies. The action comedy is about five bounty hunters chasing a fugitive. In the film, Lee’s character is reportedly a skilled martial artist.

Lee began acting in 2006 and soared to stardom with the 2009 hit drama series “Boys Over Flowers.” He went on to more popularity with the 2013 drama series “The Heirs” in China.

It has been rumored that the actor broke up with his singer-actress girlfriend Suzy, but Lee’s agency denied the rumor by saying that they are still seeing each other.
