KIAT, GE sign deal to offer small firms tech support

The Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT) and General Electric (GE) Korea signed a memorandum of understanding on Friday to provide technological support for local small and medium-sized businesses.

In addition, they will launch an event called “KIAT-GE Technology Commercialization Day”. At their first meeting on Friday, KIAT invited about 30 medium-sized businesses and representatives from GE involved in various new technologies related to electricity, IT, engine, battery and energy.

GE said other Korean businesses can cooperate with the GE Global Research Center to develop new technologies.
