The annual global conference, to be held April 20 to 21 at the Shilla Hotel in central Seoul under the theme “Future Luxury,” will explore Korea’s fashion and beauty culture and how luxury brands should target young consumers. Attendees will also discuss travel retail opportunities and the ongoing convergence of fashion and technology.
The conference is hosted by Vogue fashion editor Suzy Menkes and launched last year in Florence. As keynote speaker, Lee will talk about Korea’s fashion industry. She has rarely made public appearances or speeches at events.
Other speakers will include Angelica Cheung, the editorial director of Vogue China; Claus-Dietrich Lahrs, the chairman and CEO of Hugo Boss; Donatella Versace, creative director at Versace; Gian Giacomo Ferraris, Versace CEO; Kim Sung-Joo, chief visionary officer at MCM; Olivier Rousteing, creative director of Balmain; and Claudio Calo of Giorgio Armani. Conde Nast International media group publishes 143 magazines, including Vogue and GQ, and has more than 5,400 subscribers.
