Lotte Department Store will start service for Chinese VIPs

The new service includes customized shopping assistance through so-called personal shoppers for each VIP customer, and a membership service that offers mileage saving through Chinese SNS service Weixin.
The personal shoppers will translate for the Chinese and other foreign VIPs while also offering a customized shopping guide service and delivery of the purchased products directly to customer’s hotels.
Considering the number of visits to the store by a Chinese VIP shopper is about two to four times a year, their average spending per visit surpasses domestic most valuable guests (MVG).
While these services were formerly only provided to domestic MVGs, the growing importance of Chinese VIPs has called for the service to be expanded.
In order to gain access to the lounge where the services are provided, a foreign shopper must spend over 5 million won ($4,300) in a day or more than 10 million won yearly.
