Singer CL to raise funds for Operation Smile
K-pop singer CL, a member of girl group 2NE1, did a photo shoot with biweekly fashion magazine Grazia Korea to raise money for children with facial defects.
Operation Smile, an international charity, announced CL’s photo shoot on Wednesday.
During an interview with the fashion and style magazine, CL reportedly said, “I’m always interested in meaningful and fun projects. If children need a school, I’d like to make one for them, though I’m not capable of doing that, but it’s my hope.”
Operation Smile added that CL participated in the entire process of the photo shoot, from selecting a theme to choosing props.
A Korean child who underwent a facial surgery through the charity also took part in the shoot with CL.
CL recently released a digital single titled “Hello Bitches.”
The 24-year-old singer has been working on a solo album targeting the U.S. market by joining hands with Scooter Braun, who represents pop stars like Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande.
