New star couple joins ‘Return of Superman’
Celebrity couple Ki Tae-young and Yoo Jin will join the popular reality TV show “The Return of Superman,” in which celebrity fathers take care of their kids for 48 hours without their wives.According to multiple entertainment news outlets on Thursday, the couple already finished the first shooting.
Ki and Yoo got married in 2011 and had a baby girl last April.
With Ki and Yoo joining the show, there have been reports about the possible departure of some of the show’s regular hosts, including actor Song Il-kook and his triplets and martial arts expert Choo Sung-hoon and his daughter Sa-rang.
But the production team of the popular show said, “Nothing has been decided yet.”
First launched in November 2013, “The Return of Superman” has produced many child stars. Some celebrities also earned second chances in their careers.
One of them is Tablo, the frontman of hip-hop trio Epik High. Before he began to appear on the show with his daughter Ha-ru, the singer-rapper had been keeping a low profile after a scandal involving his diploma from Stanford University.
Although Tablo was cleared of all suspicions, he reportedly said he lacked the courage to re-enter the spotlight. On the show, however, Tablo gained popularity and resumed his singing career.
